10 Lesser Known Scary Movies

I have a love hate relationship with scary movies.  I love the rush of adrenaline I get watching an edge of your seat thriller. The jumps, the screams, the who done it, and how do we escape it attitude.  I don't however love that I over analyze every movie after it ends, to the point of a sleepless night.  None the less Cody and I watch a ton of scary movies especially in the month of October. My last post was on "Kid friendly" Halloween movies.

This time I think I'll go creepier.  This is our top 10 list of scary movies you've probably never seen or heard of. This year Cody and I really set out to watch scary movies we hadn't seen before.  We spent a lot of time doing research because we really have seen a ton of movies. (Cody especially) Here is the list we compiled together. (In no particular order)

Evil Dead

Teens in the woods find mystery book and all h*** breaks loose.

Trick 'r Treat

The ultimate Halloween movie.  If you pick only one movie on this list to watch this Halloween this needs to be it!!

Darkness Falls

Creepy little town with a secret.  Don't lose a tooth and definitely don't stay awake for the tooth fairy.

Housebound

When a girl is bound to the house by the courts, strange things start happening.  The funniest scary movie you'll ever watch.

Coherence

THE LESS YOU KNOW THE BETTER. Just take our word for it.

Splinter

A parasite that takes over still living hosts.  Will give you the heebeegeebees for days.

The Crazies

Townsfolk in Iowa suddenly plagued by insanity.

Devil

Don't trust the strangers in the elevator.

The Houses October Built

Documentary of the scariest haunted houses across America.

The Troll Hunter

They do exist, but don't go looking at night.

We know these might not be "the scariest" movies you've ever seen, but hope you will still find enjoyment in these movies.

What is the scariest movie you have ever seen?
